Frequently asked questions
Is Word to PDF really free?
Yes — completely free, with no daily limits, no sign-up and no watermark. iLovePDF and Smallpdf cap free conversions or gate features behind a subscription; here it's unlimited.
Will my formatting and fonts be preserved?
Yes. The conversion uses a full document engine (LibreOffice) that lays the page out faithfully — headings, tables, images, headers/footers and standard fonts are preserved. Very unusual custom fonts fall back to a close match.
Which file types can I convert?
Word .docx and .doc, plus OpenDocument .odt and rich-text .rtf. For spreadsheets use Excel to PDF, and for slides use PowerPoint to PDF.
Is my document private?
Yes. Files are processed in memory on our own server — no third-party AI or cloud service — and deleted within about 15 minutes. Nothing is stored and no account is required.
