Frequently asked questions
Is Excel to PDF really free?
Yes — completely free, with no daily limits, no sign-up and no watermark. iLovePDF and Smallpdf cap free conversions or gate features behind a subscription; here it's unlimited.
Will my columns and layout be preserved?
Yes. The conversion uses a full spreadsheet engine (LibreOffice) that renders each sheet's print layout — columns, borders, number formats and multiple sheets are preserved. For very wide sheets, set a print area or landscape orientation in Excel first for the cleanest fit.
Which file types can I convert?
Excel .xlsx and .xls, OpenDocument .ods, and .csv. For documents use Word to PDF, and for slides use PowerPoint to PDF.
Is my spreadsheet private?
Yes. Files are processed in memory on our own server — no third-party AI or cloud service — and deleted within about 15 minutes. Nothing is stored and no account is required.
